Shabby Jewelry Ensemble by DT Member Maggie

Good morning friends, Maggie here today to share my next design team project for Shabby is Chic Boutique on Facebook. This time I have created a necklace and earrings set.

To create the necklace, I started off with a flowery applique piece from my stash and then glued a 2mm rhinestone to the middle of each flower, at the top of the applique.  I then adhered a rhinestone and pearl flat back to the middle of each flower on the sides of the applique.  I added a butterfly dangle piece from the trim to which I adhered a pearl and rhinestone flat back to the middle of the butterfly along with three rhinestones to the tail.  Lastly, I added a chain to the necklace from my stash.

For the earrings, I started with 2 butterfly dangle pieces.  I glued a rhinestone and pearl flat back to the middle of each butterfly piece.  I also added three rhinestones to each tail of the butterflies.  Lastly, I added the earring wires from my stash.

I hope you will give this project a try!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, please check out Shabby Is Chic Boutique Store on Facebook.

Shabby Chic Pennant By DT Member Kim C.

Welcome to this weeks project!
Kim C. here and this week I have created a beautiful shabby chic banner piece!

I used light weight chipboard for the base.  I covered the chipboard with some pattern paper, which you are not able to see.  The paper got covered up with some beautiful laces.  I then added some flatback pearl trim to the top along with some seam binding bows.

I used some heart trim on the edges along with some laces from my stash.  I created these super cute butterflies with pattern paper, distress ink, and stickles.  Its hard to see by they do have antenna's on them!!

I created this beautiful shabby flower with a rosette, cheesecloth, dangle trim, and some leaf appliques.  Adding a gorgeous bling piece to the center.

The bottom has a satin bow, a large flat back pearl, a flat back pearl hearts, and some dangle trim.
Below is a list of items used from the shop.

I also will be sending this to Miss Amy Love for her 1000 subbie challenge/giveaway!!
I hope she likes it.

Shabby Gift Set & Card with DT Member Kim C.

Welcome to this weeks project!
The last couple projects have been very extravagant, so this week I went simple.
I have made a little gift set with a matching card. I used lots of items from Shabby is Chic Boutique Store!

Starting with the card, it measures 6 x 5 1/4.  I added some pattern paper which I distressed all the edges.  I layered more pattern paper in two different styles, also distressing the edges.  I added a wood tag and a wood sentiment.  From Shabby is Chic boutique I added some beautiful lace, flat back pearl trim and some flat back roses to finish off the card.

My next item is actually some empty scotch tape rolls, which I glued together to form this pencil/pen holder.  I used more of the lace, flat back pearl trim, flat back roses and added a butterfly applique and a pink cameo from the shop.  I double layered the lace and added the pearl trim to the bottom.

This container is just a little smaller but just as cute!  I used a single layer of the lace adding the pearl trim and flat back roses as well.  If you look at the top of the lace you can see how I layered the pearl trim to give it a scalloped look.  I incorporated this technique in all three of the projects.

I love the way my project has turned out.  Below is a list of the items from the shop that I used.
Thanks for stopping and Happy Crafting!!
Kim :)

18mm Vintage Resin Lady Cameo in pink

Shabby Altered Bottle with Kim C.

Hello Crafters!  Kim C. here today, with my first DT Project for Shabby is Chic Boutique on Facebook!
I went out of my comfort zone and created an altered wine bottle.

This picture below are the items I used from the shop.

Now let me explain what I have done....
First, I decoupaged the beautiful rose napkin to the wine bottle.  Now this is my first time doing this and I think I did a great job!  I then wrapped some cording from my stash around the top of the bottle and then added the pearl trim and tiny flower lace.

I then took the beautiful flower trim with dangles and cut it apart.  I staggered the flower pieces around the top of the bottle.  I then added the flat back pearls and the flower with gold.  I love how the dangles just drape over the bottle!

To finish the bottle off I added more of the pearl trim to the bottom.  I also added the cameo with the leaf appliques as a finishing touch.

I hope you like what I have created.  Please check out my video on my Youtube channel.  Also check out the other design team members on Shabby is Chic Boutique blog.  Below is a list of what I used on my project.

List of Items:
Rose Napkin
Gold Rhinestone and Pearl Flatback
16mm Flatback Pearl Button
2" White Leaf Applique
White Flatback Pearl Trim
White Flower Lace Trim
Flower Dangle Trim
18mm Vintage Resin Lady Cameo in Tan

Thank you for stopping by!

Victorian Pin Cushion and Tag by DT Member Suzie Crafter

Good morning friends, Suzie Crafter here and I am happy to share my first Design Team project for Shabby is Chic Boutique on Facebook.

I created a double pin cushion using silk fabric adding silk handmade rosettes around the cushion designing it with a tassel, vintage girl button, metal rhinestone & flat back pearl button and ivory bridal trim all from Shabby is Chic Boutique Store!

I also made the stick pins to highlight both projects. The vintage style tag stands up on its own with a vintage photo printed on canvas, adding on more gorgeous Shabby Is Chic Boutique ivory lace bridal trim, an butterfly applique which I cut in half adding to both ends and some pretty flowers and stick pins and scattering the rhinestone and pearl mesh trim so everything coordinates nicely.

The color scheme here is dark grape and cream with accents of pink and cream! I will be posting a video on my YouTube channel here so please subscribe to stay tuned on all design team projects for Shabby is Chic Boutique and NEW products in my DT package reveals!
