Spinning Heart Ornament

Hi everyone, Amylove here to share this adorable ornament I made. I found a wonderful tutorial on YouTube and gave it a try. These are the products I used from Shabby is Chic Boutique:
four heart appliqués
1 white tassel

I used cardstock for the base and adhered the appliqués with Sparkle Mod Podge. Look at that sparkle!!

I attached the tassel and seam binding hanger with hot glue

I can't wait to see how it looks hanging on my tree! My husband wouldn't let me put it up so I could see...lol

Here is the link to the YT tutorial I followed to create this:

Shabby Pink Wreath by Guest DT Karen N.

Good morning friends. Today we are sharing this months second guest designer, Karen N's project for Shabby is Chic Boutique.

Karen has made this gorgeous shabby wreath!

Karen has used some of the white and pink foam roses from SCB, they look so beautiful on this project!
She has also wrapped the wreath in more of the beautiful laces from our store.

You can also see she has used some of the small pink flower trim and some of our pink seam binding too.

To complete the project, Karen has added some of our white tassels to the base of the roses.
We hope you are as inspired by Karen's project today as we are.

Please stop by the Shabby is Chic Boutique store on Facebook to check out these products she has used and the rest of our stock!
Have a wonderful day!

Message in a Bottle and Romantic Box by DT Member Suzie Crafter

Good morning friends Suzie here today to share with you my next project for Shabby is Chic Boutique.

I've altered a blue box that I had from perfume lining it with muslin on the outside, and lining the inside of the top with SBC's blue lace trim, and ruffling the outside giving the lace a flimsy yet romantic kind of look using SBC's Embroidered Flower Lace Tulle in cream, lining the top outside of the box with White Flat Back Pearl Trim from the shop.

The Glass Tubes were from Michaels. I've never altered those before so I thought these would make great "messages in a bottle presents"! I've altered the glass tubes with some vintage lace from my stash, adding a dangling cream colored tassel to two of them then made one tassel from the White Fringe Trim, Luxury Lace Pearl Beaded Trim and the Rhinestone Cup-Chain Trim all from SBC's store giving the messages in a bottle just a romantic feel to them!

I've also added some pearl strand, handmade seam binding bows in cameo beige that were crinkled, a wired ribbon in gold, a few handmade pretty pearl and crystal stick pins and a few mulberry paper flowers to give it a romantic flair! Lastly, I crinkled some paper then etched it with Vintage Photo ink by Ranger, and wrote a love note in there for my husband. These are fun and great little projects to make using products from Shabby is Chic Boutique.

I hope that you've enjoyed seeing this project as much as I've enjoyed making them. If you'd like to see them in full detail, there will be a YouTube video at my 'suziecrafter10' channel.

Shabby Butterfly Wall Plaque by DT Member Karen

Good morning friends, Karen here today with my next design team project for Shabby is Chic Boutique. I have created an altered CD for this project.

To begin with, I took my cd and traced around it on to white card stock and cut it out using tacky glue I adhered the card to both sides of the CD. I then decoupaged the watercoloured rose napkin onto both sides.

Next, I added a large applique piece to the front of the plaque and then layered on frayed cheesecloth from my stash.

I then went round the front with the v shaped leaf applique trim (I cut it in half up the centre and then snipped between all the sections so that it curved without puckering.
To soften the look I added two layers of gathered trims from my own stash, the chiffon trim is available in Shabby is Chic Boutique store.

Then I had the fun of decorating I took the chiffon flower lace collar trim and snipped the flowers off them and made it in to just a flower, with more layers. It turned out so pretty!

I used the lace to make a pocket on the reverse of the plaque to add a tag.
I used the tassel under the chiffon flower and added 2 butterfly appliques back to back and attached them on to the thread of the tassel, I also added one to the front of the plaque.

I then took a cardboard butterfly template and added lots of scraps from my DT kit to give the butterfly a fabric softer look, I used the leaf tassel trim and used one leaf as the body and on top of that I added the pearl and rhinestone trim to give it a little bit of sparkle. I also used the same technique on the other butterflies.

I used some of the small resin roses to add some more depth and interest to the plaque and I called the front done.

On the back, I removed all the pearls from the dangle sections on the lace and replaced them with the resin roses they just looked so much classier, the pearls were easily removed with just heating it with a heat tool for a minute and gently picking them off leaving the lace with no blemishes.

I then took a small section of cream satin ribbon to make a hanger, I adhered it with hot glue and added one of the flower dangles over it to disguise the ribbon and just make it look more clean lined.
And again I added a small resin rose to give it the finishing touch.
I hope you enjoy this project.

Victorian Pin Cushion and Tag by DT Member Suzie Crafter

Good morning friends, Suzie Crafter here and I am happy to share my first Design Team project for Shabby is Chic Boutique on Facebook.

I created a double pin cushion using silk fabric adding silk handmade rosettes around the cushion designing it with a tassel, vintage girl button, metal rhinestone & flat back pearl button and ivory bridal trim all from Shabby is Chic Boutique Store!

I also made the stick pins to highlight both projects. The vintage style tag stands up on its own with a vintage photo printed on canvas, adding on more gorgeous Shabby Is Chic Boutique ivory lace bridal trim, an butterfly applique which I cut in half adding to both ends and some pretty flowers and stick pins and scattering the rhinestone and pearl mesh trim so everything coordinates nicely.

The color scheme here is dark grape and cream with accents of pink and cream! I will be posting a video on my YouTube channel here so please subscribe to stay tuned on all design team projects for Shabby is Chic Boutique and NEW products in my DT package reveals!
