Alice Inspired Wall Hanging & Heart Bow by DT Member Liza

Good morning, Liza here today with my Alice inspired wall hanging and mini heart bow, which I created for Shabby Is Chic Boutique on Facebook

I used lots of trim and laces from the store.  The pink tulle trim and dangle trim finished off the bottom of the wall hanging nicely.

I tied some of the SCB wide pink lace around the top of the hanger and added some charms and a tassel  to finish it off.

I also used one of the large gold metal bows in the top corner to add some bling.

I placed my image in some teacups and added a "drink me" sentiment to it as well.

Lastly, I made this cute little heart with burlap bow. I used the laces and flat back pearls from SCB, along with the burlap bow, placed on a wooden heart, which I backed with some designer paper.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today, please stop by the Shabby is Chic Boutique Store on Facebook to check out the items I have used and lots more that is in stock!
Have a great day, Liza!

Shabby Pink Bird House by DT Member Liza

Good morning friends, Liza here today to share with you my latest project from Shabby is Chic Boutique on Facebook.

This time I have made an altered wooden bird house I picked up at Michaels.

I gessoed it all over, then painted it pink. I covered the roof with the tulle pink trim, and then I used the burlap bow in the front.

I used part of an applique for the front which is from SCB  and decorated it with a fancy flat back pearl also from Shabby is Chic Boutique.

Lastly, I used various flowers from my stash for the front porch. Shabby and pink is very chic!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, please check out Shabby is Chic Boutique Store on Facebook.

Shabby Altered Paint Brush by DT Member Kim

Good morning friends! Kim here today to share with you my shabby altered paint brush, made with lots of gorgeous goodies from Shabby is Chic Boutique Store on Facebook.

I started this brush off with a coat of gesso all over then got out some Prima Art Alchemy Paints. These paints have lots of shimmer to them so they are perfect for any shabby project.

I used lots of muted tones to go with my SCB laces, trims and bling.

Next, I used my script stamp, also from Prima, and some black StazOn Ink, and stamped all over the brush. Then it was time to start layering on my lovely laces and trims from SCB.

I used a wooden wing and some resin pieces, along with the gorgeous pink tulle trim from Shabby is Chic Boutique. I added an SCB button and tiny doily to the top of the brush to add interest.

Below here you can see I used lots of pink laces and trims the brush. Some flowers and SCB bling added some sparkle to the piece.

I used more of the Art Alchemy paints once I had layered on the laces, and embellishments to make them look like they had been splattered in paint. A final touch was some Prima Art Stones to add dimension to the brush.

I hope you will try some mixed media with your items from Shabby is Chic Boutique, its the best of both worlds!

Thanks for stopping by today, and please check out Shabby is Chic Boutique on Facebook.
Have a great day!

Shabby Chic Altered Box by Kim F.

Good morning friends, Kim here today to share with you my next DT project for Shabby is Chic Boutique on Facebook.
This time I have altered a wooden box for a gift for a friend.

I painted this box with a coat of gesso, then gave it an application of my crackle medium, then another coat of paint. I set it aside to dry and once it was I got out some of the gorgeous napkins from the SCB Store.

I placed the napkins on top of the crackle and when it dries it gives a lovely image, and it appears as though the box has been painted in the beautiful napkin images. I tore up a few interesting pieces from various napkins and added them to the top and side of the box as well.

I used mod podge to adhere to napkins on the box, and once it was dry it was time to get out some gorgeous SCB laces and trims!

I added some of the new mesh doilies and shabby rose buttons to one side of the box for interest. I also cut apart the butterfly lace trim and added one butterfly to each corner of the box, embellishing them with pieces of the pearl and rhinestone trim.

Lastly, I added one of the pearl and rhinestone bling pieces to the front of the box. I also used the mini silver spoon from SCB, which I filled with pink micro beads, and some flowers to finish off the top of the box.

For the inside of the box I painted the mirror white and decorated it with the mini pink floral trim. The bottom of the box I painted a shabby pink colour, and filled  it with some laces and goodies I am sending to my friend.
